Solo show at ISO Amsterdam, 10.3 – 24.03.2018
curated by Florence Parot
I am converting the template of the application: instagram into a three-dimensional artefact. I deconstruct its structure considering repetition and the mechanism of posting. Repetition plays an important role in this work as I address the issue of the recurring actions of liking and scrolling. As if more likes represent more truth. The installation conveys the frictions between tactile perception and the speed of emotions evoked by images. Through ceramics and textiles I investigate the sensual experience that has become increasingly rare through today technologies.
