CARE is a Jacquard weave created at the TextielLab in Tilburg. The patterns that emerged while creating the packaging for my work {Save Our Souls} marked the starting point for this weave. The notion of care is central in the work as I address the fragility and value of my sculptures. To investigate processes of protection is also connected to my relationship with workers in factories and workshops. A topic that has shaped my practice in the last few years are support structures such as crates and packing of my ceramics. They have become the key subject matter of projects, revealing the necessary attitude of care in technical work.
