“Au bout du fil”
In progress, started 2022, exhibition planned 2023.
Creahm is an atelier based in Fribourg, Switzerland that offers mentally and physically disabled people the opportunity to exploit their creative talents; to work in an atelier, to exhibit and sell artwork like any other artist. Laurence Cotting and Gion Capeder run the studio and accompany the artists in their artistic work. Creahm invited me to collaborate with 5 artists from the Creahm (Pascal Vonlanthen, Margot Gillard, Bernard Grandgirard, Rémy Vuillème and Géraldine Piller).
The seven artists will be able to work together to create a giant embroidery (5.2 m long and 1.5 m wide) on an embroidery machine in St. Gallen (CH). The result will be the fruit of a collective work, resulting from research into the theme of writing (“text / textile”). The project will be developed at the CREAHM workshop over several months during 2022, and will exhibited Fribourg in 2023.
